Gratitude to London North Eastern Railway for supporting the launch of 'Eve and Philip’s Place' in Whitley Bay.
We are incredibly grateful to LNER for generously providing train travel to Newcastle, enabling us to attend the official launch of 'Eve and Philip’s Place' - a new holiday caravan in Whitley Bay dedicated to families affected by breast cancer.
This inspiring initiative, funded by a grant from the Pink Ribbon Foundation through a generous donation from the Morrison family and delivered by Something To Look Forward To, will provide 48 weeks of respite annually for individuals affected by breast cancer.
Named in memory of Eve and Philip Morrison, this is the second caravan established through a grant from the Foundation and a donation from the Morrison family. The first, 'Eve’s Place', was launched two years ago in Hunstanton, Norfolk, and has since provided many families with much-needed rest and recovery during or after treatment.
Both caravans stand as a testament to the enduring legacy of the Morrison family and the power of community-driven support.
LNER’s dedication to community and charitable causes is truly commendable. Their support not only made my journey possible but also highlights the importance of accessible travel in helping to champion meaningful initiatives.
Thank you, LNER, for helping make this special day a reality.
