Good luck Ollie! Your Mom would be proud, go smash it mate from the Benbows
Ollie Smith's Story
I am running the Dublin marathon for a cause close to my heart. I lost my mom Joanne in 2018 to cancer.
My mom was diagnosed with cancer and we all thought the world was over but she didn’t, she was always putting on a brave face for me and my 2 younger brothers. She always had a positive look on life no matter how bad her day was going; she made sure everyone else was okay. She was outgoing, strong and the kindest person I have ever known. She always took every day as it came and made sure she made the most of it.
Running the marathon is a way I can show the characteristics my mom portrayed to us. Running for the pink ribbon foundation allows me to raise money to help families in a similar position to me and also help put money towards new research and resources to in the future help the fight against cancer.
Making great progress, Ollie’s Dublin Marathon has reached 25% of the target!
